My name is Patrick Schwerdtfeger and I built my speaking career from the ground up. I spoke at 47 Rotary Clubs back in 2008! It was a slow start. But since then, I’ve spoken professionally in Sweden, Finland, Portugal, India, Dubai, Aruba, the Cayman Islands, Cancun and dozens of cities across Canada and the United States. I’ve earned as much as $10,000 for a 75-minute keynote and built my career without being a bestselling author or achieving some crazy incredible feat that would be unattainable for the average person.

My biggest claim to fame is that I have no claim to fame. I built my career with smart marketing, effective branding and mastering the art of keynote speaking. It’s a process that can be taught and learned. It’s a process that can be replicated, and that’s what this program is all about.
Here’s what you will get in this program:
Week #1: Understanding the Business & Precision Prospecting
The first session will help you become a savvy speaker. We’ll discuss the terminology, the different players involved and how to find them online. We’ll cover the difference between speaker’s bureaus and speaker’s agents as well as association management companies (AMCs) and corporate meeting planners. We’ll also cover ingenious uses of Google Alerts (to find speaking engagements) and outsourcing tools like Elance and oDesk.
Week #2: Online and Offline Rockstar Secrets
The second session will focus on the most important things you need to do, both online and off, to look credible as a professional speaker. In the offline category, we’ll touch on one-sheets and custom envelopes as well as becoming an author. In the online category, we’ll cover your website as well as Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube and Twitter. In every case, there are simple tricks that will make you look like an influential thought-leader, and you’ll get some awesome worksheets with all the steps broken down.
Week #3: Writing the Killer Keynote
The third session is all about the keynote itself. We’ll go over the title and description (extremely important) and then dive into the speech structure itself. You’ll learn about the “value transfer” questions and the “passion bridge” before the close. These legendary structural secrets are so powerful, it’s crazy. The value transfer questions get your audience spinning in their own thoughts, and the passion bridge guarantees a powerful close. This session is the most fun!
Week #4: Securing the Business and the 1-day Launch Pad
The fourth session covers the marketing process. What should you do first, second and third? What’s the easiest, fastest and cheapest way to get great photographs and a killer demo video? You’ll learn about the 1-day launch pad and how to create a made-for-media event that will leave you with everything you need. You’ll learn how you can save buckets of money and at least 3 years of your life by building your speaking career the SMART way, instead of the hard way.
Week #5: Q&A and Brainstorming
This final session is all about you. I will provide a brief final presentation and then address any remaining questions that you have and we can brainstorm ideas for individual participants who want to share their goals and challenges.
